Our Story
We created The Liiift in response to the world’s growing mental health pandemic.
As mums and as professionals with more than 30 years’ experience working in busy corporate environments, we know first-hand the many and diverse pressures modern life is placing on families– along with the negative impact this can have on our children’s emotional wellbeing.
But we also passionately believe it doesn’t have to be this way. Little tweaks and changes can have a big impact, especially at school. In fact, when teachers, parents and kids work together, we can form a triangle of support that lets every child flourish and reach their full, wonderful potential.
Our vision for The Liiift is to build a safe, uplifting and knowledgeable community that connects and empowers people of all ages to improve their own mental wellbeing, which in turn, creates a positive ripple effect for everyone around them too.
This is YOUR community and your space, so whether you’re here to Have a Liiift or Give a Liiift, we hope you enjoy your experience! Please share any feedback too, as it helps us keep improving our support for you and all our members.
Thanks for visiting!
Be the change you want to see in the world.

Our mission is to harness the power of the individual and the community to tackle the mental health pandemic.
By building the feel-good connection to themselves and each other, The Liiift aims to share, support and inspire people of all ages and stages, to manage their mental health in a more mindful and fulfilling way. With a few simple, intentional practices to proactively feel good each day, the individual’s feel good ripple effect can be felt by every person, group or community they interact with.
At The Liiift, we believe that if our children can learn these skills early, it will set them up with a strength and emotional resilience that will see them through whatever life has in store for them.
Through scientifically proven tools, expert wellbeing advice and ongoing community support, we make it easier for children to understand, manage and express their emotions. And we aim to inspire and empower parents and teachers to help every child develop the skills they need for a more resilient approach to a happier and healthier life.
The true power behind the Liiift is our community.
From our wellbeing experts and advisors to our teachers, parents and children, we’re all on the journey to better mental health together, helping each other every step of the way.
It’s all about creating new habits for a healthy positive mindset which is a three step process of: awareness of current habits, learning new responses and then practice, practice, practice. Research shows it can take 3-5 days to break bad habits and 66-90 days to create a new habit that is second nature. Being part of a community is a critical success factor in this new habit formation, by providing motivation, inspiration and accountability to keep you on track.
At the heart of The Liiift community, playing exactly that role, are Our Champions who offer deep experience and expertise in all three corners of The Liiift triangle of support.
As a member, you’ll receive ongoing access to their guidance and support, including regular nuggets of inspiration to keep you feeling positive, connected and on track as well as access to workshops to optimise the impact of The Liiift at home or at school.

Having spent 20 years working as a SENCO and specialist advisory teacher for pupils with complex needs, I realised the key to implementing sustainable change lay with effectively supporting the immediate adults around them. In order to do this, I switched my focus and retrained as an ICF accredited coach. I now support parents, schools and professionals to proactively look after their emotional health, in turn enabling them to confidently and effectively offer this same support to children.
Stress and overwhelm are rife in today’s society and play a huge role in how we show up for ourselves and for children. How we handle these emotions provides a model for the next generation – so let’s make it a model that supports children to flourish! I draw on my years teaching as well as positive psychology, neuroscience and my extensive experience in the field of emotional regulation to help parents and professionals. Together we recognise what needs to change and identify the small but impactful steps they can take in order for that change to become a reality. One step at a time I help clients get their heads back above water by doing things differently rather than doing even more.
What made you become a Liiift Champion?
I am passionate about helping parents and teachers understand that caring for their own emotional wellbeing is foundational to being able to support children in understanding, managing and regulating their own emotions. As part of The Liiift community, I look forward to supporting everyone to make positive, practical and sustainable changes for themselves and their children or pupils.
“Making sure your own needs are met is the foundation that underpins being able to successfully support your child.”

Throughout my 30 years teaching Learning Support in different boarding and day schools I supported children with specific learning difficulties,. Along with my teaching qualifications and MSc in children’s development and learning, this means I have a diverse and plentiful toolkit of practical strategies, insights and approaches that I’m so excited to share with the community. I have realistic expectations about their understanding and behaviour at each age and stage and just love to help children find skills they can be proud of to help them build their confidence. In my view, there’s nothing more rewarding than inspiring a child to learn, flourish and be happy.
I believe there’s absolutely nothing more rewarding than inspiring a child to learn, flourish and be happy. With over 30 years teaching learning support in different schools and 14 grandchildren(!), I have developed a diverse and plentiful goodie bag of practical strategies, insights and approaches for children and the adults supporting them.
I’m so excited to share these with The Liiift community. I bring realistic expectations about children’s understanding and behaviour at each age and stage. It's a great feeling to help parents and teachers try different techniques that get the best out of a child. I can’t wait to get started!
What made you become a Liiift Champion?
I’ve noticed that mental health pressures on children, parents and teachers have never been greater than they are now and I feel compelled to try to help. Over my decades of experience, I’ve always strived to provide kind, supportive and fun interventions that are easy to implement and strike an immediate impact for the adults and children involved. They are designed to meet every child’s unique needs and to help make life easier for the adults supporting them. It’s so important, especially for the children, that we all work together to build the confidence, connection and resilience in ourselves and each other to better support our mental wellbeing. I believe The Liiift can really make a difference with this and I’m so excited to be part of it!
“When we make the time to understand the individual child and meet them at their level, we take the stress out of learning and give children the freedom and support to reach their full, wonderful potential.”

I love to help people break down challenging situations and create clear action plans. Before becoming an ICF-certified coach, I spent more than 15 years in corporate leadership positions, empowering large and diverse teams to perform at their best both professionally and personally. I live in Surrey and have two, school-age sons who could not be more different to one another so I understand the challenges of juggling stress from both the home and work environments – often simultaneously! More than anything, I’m passionate about helping people not just understand and achieve their goals – but to excel at them as it has such a positive ripple effect on everyone around them as well.
What made you become a Liiift Champion?
A common theme in the work I’ve done is supporting people to reach their potential.
I love the idea that, by working with The Liiift I can help even more people, which will create a positive ripple effect for the children and communities around them too.
When adults feel focussed and fulfilled they can handle life’s challenges better and so are in a stronger place to support and connect with the children around them through the open and honest conversations that The Liiift’s tools will facilitate.
“Taking the time to understand our needs and to create a goal or tackle a challenge creates such an opportunity for us to thrive as adults, but also for our children, as it gifts them a model of positive focus and resilience that will set them up to know how to create their best life too.”
